The Hope Foundation: SWOG Early Exploration & Development (SEED) Fund

The Hope Foundation has released a call for proposals for the SWOG Early Exploration & Development (SEED) Fund. The SEED Fund encourages preliminary research that will potentially translate to future clinical trials or trial-associated projects (translational medicine studies) within SWOG and NCTN, and offers awards of up to $50,000 for 1 to 2 years. Applications are due July 1, 2015.

The Hope Foundation: SWOG Early Exploration & Development (SEED) Fund

The Hope Foundation's SEED Fund encourages preliminary research that will potentially translate to future clinical trials or trial-associated projects (translational medicine studies) within SWOG and NCTN. Funds will assist investigators with projects that support the following studies:

  • Pre-clinical data
  • Secondary data analysis from clinical trials
  • Pilot and feasibility studies (including early stage clinical trials)
  • Small, self-contained research projects
  • Development of research methodology/technology

Projects must apply directly to SWOG research and the ability to obtain extramural funding based on studies done during tenure of grant. Awards are issued through a competitive, peer-reviewed process that includes SWOG executive officers and Hope Foundation leaders, as well as externally nominated reviewers, as necessary.
