The ASHP’s leadership is made up of multiple boards of pharmacists representing different sorts of practice. Last year, Shilliday served in the role of vice chair.

She said her goal in this position is to continue to find modes of practice that integrate teams across health care and have a quality impact on the patient experience.

She said this national leadership position will enable her to both impact and advance the profession, while also bringing lessons learned back to UNC Health Care.
