National Center for Responsible Gaming: 2016 NCRG Centers of Excellence in Gambing Research

The Center is accepting letters of interest that will advance the understanding of gambling disorders through innovative, multi-disciplinary research investigations. Applicants must have a PhD, MD or other terminal degree. Applicants may request up to $35,000 plus 15 percent F&A for a period of no more than three years. Deadline is June 1.

The Center is accepting applications that will advance understanding of gambling disorder through innovative, multi-disciplinary research investigations. The center grants will provide funding for a stable, long-term institutional focus on a complex set of gambling-related problems requiring an innovative multi-disciplinary approach. Recipients will be expected to provide leadership in the field by:

  • Conducting cutting-edge investigations of gambling disorder
  • Translating research findings for non-academic audiences
  • Cultivating the next generation of gambling researchers by mentoring young investigators. Investigative efforts should be broadly based, encompassing a variety of areas, including biological, biomedical, social, behavioral and/or clinical sciences.

Applicants must have a PhD, MD or other terminal degree. Applicants may request up to $350,000 plus 15 percent F&A for a period no more than three years.
