Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: New Connections - Increasing Diversity of RWJF Programming

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is accepting applications that will expand the diversity of perspectives that inform the organization's programming and introduce new researchers to the foundation. The career development award for researchers is aimed at those who come from backgrounds underrepresented in research disciplines. Award amount is up to $50,000. Application deadline is May 4.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is accepting applications that will expand the diversity of perspectives that inform the organization's programming and introduce new researchers to the foundation. The career development award for researchers is aimed at those who come from backgrounds underrepresented in research disciplines. Goals include:

Engage in career development activities that enhance their research capacity;

  • Work to build the case for a Culture of Health with strong qualitative and quantitative research skills;
  • Produce and translate timely research results; and
  • Collaborate with other researchers from diverse fields to create a healthier, more equitable future for all people

Preference will be given to applicants with full-time appointments at colleges and universities. Applicants must select a mentor for the project who will provide her/his in-kind support. Awards will go to the applicant’s institution, not the individual. Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree within the last 10 years.

Application Deadline: May 4. Finalists will be notified by July 15. Grants will begin on September 1. Application Guidelines for the award.
