Multiple speakers to talk about "Using Big Data To Move the Learning Health Systems To Reality."

Keynote address will be given by Dr. David Bates, Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine and Primary Care, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School

The way payment for health care is delivered in the U.S. is changing, with more of it being done under accountable care arrangements. In such arrangements, providers will be strongly incented to deliver care more efficiently. Dr. Bates will discuss what "big data" are, and will describe an array of approaches for using data to improve outcomes. He will also describe the strategy being implemented at Partners and Brigham and Women's to harness these data.
