The Brady Education Foundation is accepting Stage 1 proposals for their two programs: Program Development and Program Evaluation. The Foundation is rigorously scientific in their approach and requires strong community-based partnerships.

  • Program Development:
The Foundation is seeking projects that develop and test the feasibility of new programs for promoting positive cognitive and/or achievement outcomes for children (birth through 18 years) from under-served and/or low-resourced communities (minority ethnic groups, low-income families). Funding is up to one year and grants are rarely over $100,000.
  • Program Evaluation:
The Foundation is seeking proposals for projects whose primary goal is to evaluate the effectiveness of programs designed to promote cognitive and/or achievement outcomes for children (birth through 18 years) from under-served groups and/or low-resourced communities (minority ethnic groups, low-income families). Yearly funding is up to $100,000 per year for three years (based on previous grants awarded in this program).

The award will be made to the institution and indirect is capped at 10%. The Foundation favors projects that include a member of the team (not necessarily the PI) who has experience leading projects of similar or greater scope.

Stage 1 Proposal Deadline: December 1, 2017. Invited Stage 2 proposals will be due April 1, 2018 with funding start date range September 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018. Application Guidelines for the award: http://www.bradyeducationfoundation.org/applicationguidelines.html.
