Kenneth Rainin Foundation: Innovator Awards

The Kenneth Rainin Foundation is accepting Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) to support high-risk research and challenge investigators to push boundaries to advance the Foundation’s goal of predicting and preventing Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Previous funded areas of research include: bioengineering; diet and nutrition; epithelial cell/molecular biology; fecal microbiota transplant; immunity and inflammation; microbiome; and therapeutic development and delivery. Award amount up to $200,000. The LOI deadline is February 15, 2018 at 5:00pm PST.

The Kenneth Rainin Foundation is accepting Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) to support high-risk research and challenge investigators to push boundaries to advance the Foundation’s goal of predicting and preventing Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Previous funded areas of research include: bioengineering; diet and nutrition; epithelial cell/molecular biology; fecal microbiota transplant; immunity and inflammation; microbiome; and therapeutic development and delivery. Researchers from any discipline are eligible for funding, but must hold an advanced degree (MD, PhD or equivalent) and academic position at a university, medical center or research institution. Innovator Awards may only have one principal investigator, and funding is award to the home institution, not the individual. Up to 10% indirect costs are allowed for this award.
