Wardrop selected for leadership positions in American College of Physicians

Richard M. Wardrop, III, MD, PhD, FACP, has been named Governor-Elect of the North Carolina Chapter of the American College of Physicians. He will complete a year of training as a Governor-elect and then will start his four-year term as Governor in the Spring of 2019. In addition, Wardrop has been selected as Chair-Elect of the American College of Physicians' National Council of Early Career Physicians.

Richard M. Wardrop, III, MD, PhD, FACP, has been named Governor-Elect of the North Carolina Chapter of the American College of Physicians. He will complete a year of training as a Governor-elect and then will start his four-year term as Governor in the Spring of 2019. In addition, Wardrop has been selected as Chair-Elect of the American College of Physicians' National Council of Early Career Physicians.

Wardrop is an associate professor of medicine and pediatrics as well as the program director for the internal medicine and pediatrics residency program.

The American College of Physicians is the largest medical specialty society in the world, with more than 150,000 members. There are chapters in all 50 states and Canada as well as several countries in Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.
