Join us for the next CTSA Conversations - Scientific Review Committee (SRC): Metrics and Update on Best Practices taking place Wednesday, May 23, 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the NC TraCS Institute on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus.

Please join the conversation as we examine the scientific review of human subjects research at UNC.

This is a follow-up conversation to the Town Hall to Discuss Recent Changes to the Scientific Review Process at UNC that took place in September 2016.

We'll be discussing:

  1. The history of scientific review at UNC
  2. Data from before & after the scientific review process changes on the time to IRB approval
  3. Why do we need a well planned out protocol at UNC? What are best practices to have a protocol sail through the SRC?
  4. And more…

There will be plenty of time for questions, suggestions, and conversation!

Refreshments will be served.  All are welcome to join the conversation!

The CTSA Conversations

In an effort to encourage a two-way dialogue and discussions around the UNC Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program at UNC, NC TraCS holds regular OPEN TO ALL information sessions. CTSA Conversations provides an opportunity for faculty, staff, students and others from across the region to understand the goals of the national CTSA effort. We invite you to share your views, ask questions, and engage with leadership regarding the UNC CTSA program and the services and resources we offer.
