Updates from the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development

In this update from The Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development, read about the UNC School of Medicine's Well-Being Index, and get the latest information regarding the Academy of Educators.

Kick off the New Year by Logging into the Well-Being Index today!

In 2016, the UNC School of Medicine launched the Well-Being Index, an online self-assessment tool that measures stress in just nine questions. The Well-Being Index predicts risks such as fatigue, depression, burnout, anxiety/stress, mental/physical quality of life, and work-life balance.

Upon taking the self-assessment, users receive immediate, confidential feedback on their overall well-being as compared to peers, and access to targeted resources aligned to the risk dimensions.

The Well-Being Index is one part of the comprehensive set of wellness initiatives at UNC. Data gathered from the Index provide important metrics for users personally, and for the institution (as de-identified data). This allows us to assess our effectiveness in addressing these important issues.

Please take five minutes to use the Well Being Index assessment today. All scores and personal information are confidential. To take the self-assessment anonymously, follow the steps below:
