The Department of Pediatrics is pleased to share that the UNC has received three years of funding as part of the Carolinas Collaborative.

The Carolinas Collaborative is a community pediatrics training initiative through the American Academy of Pediatrics. All eight pediatrics residency training programs in North and South Carolina will be working together on systems of care and residency training in food insecurity.

Emily Vander Schaaf, MD, MPH, is the site PI at UNC and other faculty from the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine are also involved including Colin Orr, MD, MPH, and Madlyn Morreale JD, MPH. These grants are made possible through the generous support of The Duke Endowment.
