New Team Science Funding Opportunity from NC TraCS

TraCS Team Science is seeking to assist UNC researchers with the formation and development of multidisciplinary research teams focused on tackling challenging problems in clinical or translational medicine through the new ACTeR Program. Support is provided through a combination of competitively reviewed graduated direct funding and logistical support awarded in two phases. Phase 1 applications are due by 5 p.m. ET on September 7, 2021.

Limited Submissions Internal Call for Proposals: NIH New Chemistries for Un-drugged Targets through (ASPIRE) Collaborative Research Program

The FOA will provide support for extramural investigators to take advantage of the unique research opportunities available at the NCATS ASPIRE Laboratory within the NCATS Division of Pre-clinical Innovation (DPI), and develop innovative ASPIRE modules that will facilitate identification of novel chemical entities targeted towards currently un-drugged biological space.

Limited Submissions Internal Call for Proposals: NIH SCENT (U01 Clinical Trial Optional)

This FOA is seeking applications for a portable sensing device to detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs, i.e. scents or odors) emanating from skin and to develop a catalog of VOCs as distinct signatures for at least 20 human diseases and conditions. These sensing devices must be able to associate VOC patterns using artificial intelligence to patients with various conditions for diagnostic purposes along with capabilities to incorporate and integrate vital signs.
