Construction update - Hillsborough Medical Office Building

In April 2011, UNC Health Care broke ground on the first phase of its new Hillsborough Campus. Since that time, the construction team has moved tons of dirt to grade the land and begin construction of the Hillsborough Medical Office Building (HMOB).

The HMOB is a three-floor, 60,000 square foot building that is scheduled to open in the summer of 2013 as the first piece of our Hillsborough Campus. The HMOB will offer the following patient care services:

  • Dermatology
  • GI Medicine
  • GI Procedures
  • Hematology Oncology
  • Hematology Oncology Infusion
  • Laboratory and testing services
  • Radiology (Mammography, Ultrasound, Bone Density)
  • Surgery Oncology
  • Urogynecology
  • Urology
  • Women’s Primary Health

The Hillsborough Medical Office Building will provide integrated, convenient, patient-centered care for our patients in Hillsborough.  The services provided at the HMOB will closely align with those we plan to offer at the Hillsborough Hospital, which is scheduled to open in 2015.

Watch Employee News Online over the next several months for more details on this project as the HMOB nears its opening date.
