"It has truly been an honor to have served our community in this capacity and to have participated in the exciting growth and development of High Point Regional over the years," Miller said.

"I am proud of the accomplishments our exceptional board of trustees and team of health care professionals have experienced over the years. I feel confident knowing that our hospital is well positioned on a path of great success for the future. While my tenure at High Point Regional will be ending, my commitment to this organization and community will not. I will continue to reside in High Point and remain an active contributor to this great organization."

"Jeff Miller has led High Point Regional to new heights with passion and dedication," said Ken Smith, Chairman of High Point Regional Board of Trustees. "Our hospital campus was transformed under Jeff's leadership including the creation of the Carolina Regional Heart Center, Hayworth Cancer Center and the Esther R. Culp Women's Center. These programs have contributed to the hospital being nationally recognized by multiple organizations including US News & World Report for outstanding patient care. Jeff has always been dedicated to meeting and exceeding the health care needs of this community and we are proud of his many credits and accomplishments."

"Jeff has been a role model for leaders both in and outside of health care in the state of North Carolina. He will be leaving a legacy of access to high quality health care for the citizens of the greater High Point community," Gary Park, President, UNC Hospitals stated.

"David Strong, President, Rex Healthcare and COO, System Affiliations UNC Health Care System will be working closely with Ken Smith and the Board of High Point Regional as a national search is launched for Jeff's successor. Jeff has agreed to stay on until his successor is named to ensure a smooth transition for the organization."
