2016 Tar Heel 10 Miler & Fleet Feet Sports 4 Mile Run Parking Information and Road Closures

In close partnership with the Town of Chapel Hill and UNC-Chapel Hill, Endurance Magazine will be producing the 9th annual Tar Heel 10 Miler & Fleet Feet Sports 4 Mile Run in Chapel Hill on Saturday, April 23. Please allow yourself plenty of time if you are commuting to or from the hospital between 6 and 7:30 a.m. Read for more information on road closures and parking.

This race will start at 7:15 a.m. at South Rd. & Stadium Dr. and will finish inside Kenan Stadium. The event will conclude at 10 a.m. A sold-out field of 6,000 runners is expected. The primary beneficiary for the event is the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Runners will begin arriving at 6 a.m. and will be directed to park at the Cardinal and Jackson Decks as well in the Skipper Bowles, Business, and Manning parking lots.

Raleigh Rd./Rt. 54 will be closed between 15/501 and Country Club Rd. starting at 5 a.m.

Runners will be directed to utilize inbound routes based on their point of origin. Runners are instructed to arrive by no later than 6:30 a.m. primarily so that race traffic interferes less with the traffic associated with UNC Hospitals' 7 a.m. shift change.
