New UNC Health Care Code of Conduct

Corporate Compliance is pleased to announce that UNC Health Care has implemented a new, systemwide Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct was developed through collaboration between compliance professionals and system leaders across UNC Health Care.

The Code of Conduct is the cornerstone of our corporate culture and a key element of our Compliance Program. The Code of Conduct outlines key behaviors and principles that are expected at UNC Health Care. The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to reinforce UNC Health Care’s institutional values and to serve as a guide for moral, ethical, and legal behavior. Adherence to the Code of Conduct promotes UNC Health Care’s reputation for integrity and honesty in the community and also ensures that UNC Health Care is compliant with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

It is the responsibility of each of us to read and abide by the Code of Conduct. Your supervisor or the Compliance Office (984-974-1027) can provide clarification and guidance on the Code of Conduct. In addition, each of us has a duty to bring all (real or suspected) violations of the Code of Conduct to the attention of a supervisor, the Compliance Office (984-974-1027), or the Compliance Hotline (1-800-362-2921).
