We’ve changed our name from Writing for Caregivers to Writing for Resilience to include everyone who wants to write! Writing for Resilience is a weekly writing respite -- a time to sit quietly and write in response to prompts: poems, quotes, and stories. All are welcome!
Beginning June 14, 2016, the weight and height for infants ages 0 to 389 days will be displayed in a standard format across Epic@UNC (regardless of department). Weights will be displayed as Grams/Lbs & Ounces. Length will be displayed as Cm/Inches.
Effective June 15, 2016, an updated point of care (POC) glucose meter testing procedure and a new Learning Management System (LMS) training module will be implemented for all personnel performing POC glucose meter testing within UNC Medical Center and UNC Physicians Network practices served by McLendon Labs in order to enhance education regarding pre-analytical limitations in POC glucose meter testing.

Beginning Wednesday, June 15, providers will notice new options for non-admitting services such as Palliative Care in Notes. Prior to this change, the choices for the optional ‘Service’ field in Notes were limited to admitting services.
On June 18, Caldwell Memorial Hospital and Pardee Hospital and its clinics will Go-Live with Epic@UNC. Current Epic@UNC users should not experience any downtimes or disruptions in service.
