Golden Hand Accolades for August 2017

Take a look at our overall results and our unit and individual achievements for August.

FY18 Clean In, Clean Out compliance reports are now available for your review.  Participation reports for managers and leaders are attached. 

In the month of August, Inpatient areas achieved 97.2% compliance overall with 100% of the inpatient units and 100% of the job classes meeting the goal of at least 90% compliance!  Outpatient/procedural areas achieved 96.6% compliance overall with 92.9% of participating outpatient/procedural areas and 87.5% of the job classes meeting the goal of at least 90% complianceORs achieved 97.1% compliance overall. 

Feedback was provided for 55% of all inpatient observations, 36.8% of all outpatient/procedural observations, and 69.5% of all OR observations.

Tips/scripting for providing feedback is here.  If your unit or job class is having difficulty achieving 90% compliance, this action planning tool (example paper tool inpatient, outpatient/procedural, electronic submission) is available for you to use and hand hygiene advisory members will be available to assist you in developing strategies for improvement (please request assistance by emailing hand@unch.unc.edu).
