Effective Jan. 2, 2019, UNC McLendon Clinical Laboratories (MCL) Molecular Immunology Laboratory will offer genetic testing for several primary immune deficiencies including severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) types 2-5, autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome (ALPS), hyper IgE, and hyper IgM. CHG Tegaderm has replaced BioPatch at UNC Hospitals for central line dressing changes. However, BioPatches will remain in the central line insertion kits until all current stock is used over the next 3 - 4 months. Health care personnel may use the BioPatches in the insertion kits OR use a CHG Tegaderm dressing, but DO NOT place a BioPatch under a CHG Tegaderm dressing.​
