Writing Toward Resilience in Pittsboro

A weekly offering by UNC Hospice. Every Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at the SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice Home of UNC Health Care at 100 Roundtree Way, Pittsboro.

Please join us Mondays from noon to 1 p.m. at the UNC Hospice Home, 100 Roundtree Way, Pittsboro (behind Bojangles). It’s a group open to all who are current caregivers or grieving a loss. Come and enjoy a respite from the demands of your day--to reflect and write. There is no charge.

Carol Henderson, a writer and bereavement workshop facilitator who has led writing workshops all over the country and in Europe leads this group.

Contact Annie Ritter, chaplain and grief counselor at UNC Hospice: ann.ritter@unchealth.unc.edu or call her at: 984-215-2650 with any questions. For directions call 984-215-2675 if necessary. No commitment. Come any Monday you like.

Participants are under no pressure, ever, to read what they write. Hospice will provide pens and notebooks. We write in silence.

Research shows that writing about deep and important matters can help lower blood pressure and pulse, increase T cell production (that build immunity) and offer healing shifts in perspective.
