Coming to North Carolina: NC REAL ID
Beginning on Oct. 1, 2020, federal agencies will enforce tougher security standards at airport check-ins, federal buildings, military installations and nuclear sites. The N.C. REAL ID is just like a traditional license or ID but has a gold star at the top, and will make more convenient to board a commercial airplane or visit a military base or other federal facility.

Optimal Care for Bladder Cancer Patients: Current Obstacles and Opportunities for Cystectomy Patient
Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online telehealth lecture with Raj S. Pruthi, MD. The lecture will evaluate the recent improvements in patients undergoing radical cystectomy for bladder cancer (including peri-operative chemotherapy and robotic surgery) and will describe some of the obstacles to providing optimal care that still exist.

Temporary Visitor Restrictions on Children Under 12 Lifted April 19
Due to a decrease in the number of influenza cases, visitor restrictions for inpatient areas and waiting rooms at UNC Hospitals (Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Wakebrook campuses) will end on Friday, April 19. Please note that due to continued circulation of RSV, restrictions remain in place for the Newborn Critical Care Center, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, 5 Children’s/Intermediate Care Unit and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at UNC Hospitals.
