Subscriber Relationships for Insurance Coverage in Epic@UNC

When coverage is entered in Epic@UNC for a patient, you must correctly identify the relationship between the patient and the subscriber of the policy. Providing the correct relationship is a CMS regulatory requirement to ensure that all claims filed have accurate subscriber relationships listed. To meet this requirement the subscriber relationship on new and existing coverages must be accurate and compliant. This process is different than how some staff had been trained to enter insurance coverages in the past and existing coverages may need to be updated. Find more information here.
