On Oct. 23 - 24, the N.C. Jaycee Burn Center underwent a site review for re-verification as a Center of Excellence. The reviewers were very impressed with the work that the Burn Center, and said that it was a “wonderful visit” and that UNC has “likely the best Burn Center in the nation.”

Grant named to Board of Directors of National Fire Protection Association
Ernest J. Grant has been named to the Board of Directors of the National Fire Protection Association. Ernie is an outreach nurse in the N.C. Jaycee Burn Center and is a past president of the North Carolina Nurses Association.
