Making the Case equips faculty with the skills to develop and refine a business pitch while providing unique access to feedback from UNC School of Medicine leaders and a pitch coach from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. In addition to presentations on navigating the nuances of the UNC Health Care System, developing the framework of a pitch, and tips on giving their pitch, each participant received coaching from institutional leaders throughout the program. This year’s participants were: David Berkoff, MD; Hendrée Jones, PhD; Thomas Egan, MD, MSc; Kimberly Kasow, DO; Moe Lim, MD; and Francisco Sylvester, MD.

One participant shared, “The program was very well organized. The coaches effectively taught helpful skills and strategies to format an oral pitch. Networking with other learners was great, and learning about what type of messages resonate with decision-makers (and what messages do not) was very helpful” (Course Participant Evaluation Quote).
