A message from Mr. Park, Dr. Daugird on our FY13 results

Please read the following letter from Gary L. Park, President, UNC Hospitals, and Allen Daugird, MD, MBA, President, UNC Faculty Physicians, about our organizational results from our 2013 fiscal year and the Employee Incentive Plan. Thanks to everyone for your excellent performance in FY13 and for your continued dedication to the patients and families we serve.


Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that we met or exceeded 13 of the 16 goals we set for fiscal year 2013 as part of UNC Health Care’s Employee Incentive Plan (EIP).

As a result of this performance, we are pleased to inform you that on November 6, 2013, you and all eligible colleagues will receive a 2.74 percent incentive payment based on the total of your regular base pay, in addition to any shift differential pay and any overtime pay earned in FY13.

Your gross incentive payment amount is subject to taxes, FICA, and retirement deductions applied to supplemental payments. Please refer to your electronic pay statement this week for specific details.

As a reminder, our FY13 goals were segmented into five categories: Finance, Service, Quality, People, and Mission. You can view our FY13 results on the Intranet home page (http://intranet.unchealthcare.org). 

We are committed to providing the very best care to the people of North Carolina, and with that in mind, our 2014 fiscal year goals are available from the Intranet home page and at http://intranet.unchealthcare.org/goals. For FY14, we add an “Innovation and Technology” section to our goals related to Epic@UNC Go-Lives planned for April 4 and June 20, 2014.
