TBI Lecture Series - Concussion management: Best practices from elementary school to the pro-athlete

You are invited to attend a weekly lecture series hosted by Rehabilitation Services during March to support TBI Awareness Month. Each Wednesday during the month of March, the rehab therapists will be hosting a lecture on TBI in 321 MacNider from 3 - 4 p.m. This lecture, by Kevin Guskiewicz, is approved for CNE.

On March 4, Kevin Guskiewicz, PhD, ATC, will give his lecture entitled, "Concussion management: Best practices from elementary school to the pro-athlete." 

Dr. Guskiewicz has been awarded many prestigous honors for his extensive work and research on sports-related concussions. He works closely with the NCAA and NFL and currently is the Kenan Distinguished Professor and Co-Director of the Matthew Gfeller Sport-Related Traumatic Brain Injury Research Center. He is also Director of the Center for the Study of Retired Athletes in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He holds joint appointments in the Department of Orthopaedics, UNC Injury Prevention Research Center, and Doctoral Program in Human Movement Science.
