Jennifer Leonard smoked for 35 years, and wasn't sure she was "strong enough to quit." But when her 8-year-old granddaughter Chloe asked her to quit so she could live long enough to attend Chloe's wedding, Jennifer enrolled in the Tobacco-Free Tar Heels Program the next day.

Cardiovascular PACS system downtime March 2 – 3: Cardiology images unavailable during this time
The Fuji Synapse Cardiovascular PACS system will experience a downtime from 10 p.m. Friday, March 2, until 6 a.m. Saturday, March 3. During the downtime, all departments will be unable to access SynapseCV Cardiology images.
Aeroscout/MobileView downtime Monday, March 5
The Aeroscout/MobileView system will be down from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday, March 5, for system maintenance and software upgrade - asset tracking, environmental monitoring, staff duress tag alerting, patient tracking, and patient flow will be unavailable during this time. Please follow your standard downtime procedures.
Outpatient Schedulers, Referral Coordinators: Required prep for March 13 Referral Workqueue Go-Live
On Tuesday, March 13, to improve the way ambulatory referrals are routed, clinics and services will transition from ‘Schedule Order’ workqueues to ‘Referral’ workqueues in Epic@UNC. Review the instructions and requirements at this link to ensure a successful Go-Live.

OWASA Water Disinfection
Starting in March, OWASA will temporarily use chlorine instead of chloramines to disinfect our domestic water. OWASA customers may notice chlorine taste and odor in March and early April due to this temporary change in disinfection.
