PTO Leave Sell Back Program Nov. 1 – 29

UNC Medical Center will offer Paid Time Off (PTO) sell-back election periods quarterly to employees. To be eligible for the sell-back options, employees must have at least 88 hours of PTO available. Employees are eligible to automatically receive a sell-back based on their election of 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of all hours over 80 with a minimum of eight hours required for distribution. Annual $50,000 Innovation Pilot Awards Request for Proposals

The Center for Health Innovation of UNC Health Care and the UNC School of Medicine has released the request for proposal for its 2020 $50,000 Innovation Pilot Awards. All UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health Care employees from any entity are eligible to apply. Applications are due Jan. 14, 2020, and as many as four awards of up to $50,000 each will be announced in March 2020.

Limited Availability for Outpatient CT at UNC Medical Center

Outpatient appointment slots for CT scans at the Medical Center are currently limited due to being down one scanner. A renovation project is currently in the construction queue which when completed will yield an additional scanner in the basement of the Women’s Hospital. A second project is also in the works to add an additional scanner to our Imaging Center location. As a result, patients are being scheduled for appointments at the ACC, Imaging Centers in Chapel Hill and Burlington, and the Hillsborough campus.
