Cole Haynes, PhD, of the University of Massachusetts for Pharmacology’s Seminar Series
March 5 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Cole Haynes, PhD
Professor of Molecular, Cell and Cancer Biology
University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School
Host: Lee Graves
“We study how cells and organisms adapt to mitochondrial dysfunction focusing on a protective stress response known as the mitochondrial UPR. We are interested in the mechanisms by which cells evaluate mitochondrial function and the modes of signal transduction that drive activation of the protective response. We focus on such mechanisms in physiologic scenarios where the UPRmt plays a role such as during aging, infection and cancer.” ~from the Haynes Lab website
Please join us in 1131 Bioinformatics when Dr. Haynes presents “Mitochondria biogenesis, extracellular protein aggregates, and the UPRmt. For those unable to attend, a zoom link is available upon request to Mimi Le
