Policy Engagement Research versus Advocacy

This event is sponsored by the FPG Policy Division which leverages FPG’s research, implementation, and technical assistance capacities to inform and support policymakers. The FPG Policy Division has invited Dr. Taylor Scott to speak with us about ways in which researchers can engage with local, state, and federal policymakers and administrators without crossing the line into advocacy. Dr. Scott directs the Research Translation in the Evidence-to-Impact Collaborative at Penn State University. She consults on various strategies for bridging research and policy and leads scholarly research that sheds light on the best practices for research translation, science communication, and facilitating productive interactions between researchers and policymakers.
