New York Stem Cell Foundation: Innovator Awards for Early Career Investigators in Translational Stem Cell Research
The New York Stem Cell Foundation is accepting applications to support early career investigators who will explore the basic biology and translational potential of stem cells. The goal of this award is to foster bold and innovative scientists with the potential to transform the field of stem cell research, and advance the understanding and use of stem cells in the development of treatments for human disease. Award amount is up to $300,000 per year for up to 5 years. The application deadline is Feb. 22, 2017.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) to support independent, established investigators to accelerate progress toward understanding and treating muscle disease. Discovery research includes the search for understanding the causes of disease, unraveling pathways involved in disease, identifying novel drug targets, and testing new strategies to treat disease. The goal for discovery research is to form a solid foundation which informs and accelerates all subsequent drug development. Award amount is up to $60,000 per year for up to three (3) years. The LOI deadline is June 15, 2017 by 11:59pm EST. The LOI portal will open approximately one month prior to LOI deadline.
