Patient Safety reporting through SAFE can now be accessed from a patient’s chart in Epic@UNC. If you access SAFE through the patient’s chart, you will already be logged-in to SAFE and the patient’s MRN and name fields will automatically populate once you’ve completed the required fields.

Bernie Sanders Rally on UNC Campus - Sept. 19
​The political candidate will hold a rally on UNC Campus September 19 starting at 5:30 p.m. at Bell Tower Amphitheater. Heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic is expected throughout the afternoon and evening. This may be especially heavy along Emergency Room Drive. Please allow extra time when traveling to and from the hospital.

On Tuesday, Jan. 15, UNC Health Care announced a new partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina to transform health care across the state, improve care, and lower costs for our patients. Blue Premier is a new, value-based model of care in which Blue Cross NC and UNC Health Alliance providers are jointly responsible for better health outcomes, exceptional patient experience and lower costs.

Elevators W/C 10, 11, and 12 Closed
Plant Engineering has a 500-ton and a 210-ton crane arriving to UNC Hospitals on Friday – April 6, 2018 at 5 p.m. as part of the 5 Children’s Protective Environment construction project. The cranes will remain on-site the entire weekend. As a result, elevators W/C 10, W/C 11, and W/C 12 will be “Out Of Service” beginning Friday, April 6, at 11 p.m.
