A pair of Habitat for Humanity homes are available in Orange County. Potential homebuyers must obtain a pre-approval letter from the bank or credit union and attend an 8-hour Homebuyer Education Class. Families must earn less than 80% of area median income (AMI) — chart at the link in the headline. Application deadline is Feb. 15.


The first is a renovated 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home located in the Phoenix Place community in Chapel Hill. The second, is a newly-constructed 2 bedroom, 1 bath in the Tinnin Woods neighborhood in Efland. Both homes are located in quiet, family-friendly communities.
