UNC Hospitals has simplified access to all policies by consolidating access to them via a single web page
At the UNC Health Care Policy Search page you are now able to search ‘All Policies’ simultaneously, or you can select the individual policy manuals you would like to search.
Most policy manuals will be live on this new site by Friday, April 17. A few will be completed and added in the coming weeks. Watch UNC Health Care Employee News Online for updates.
When you use the Search Box in the center of the search page, you will get only policies in response to your search. If you elect to use the search box at the top right corner of the web page, you will get all documents on the entire UNC Hospitals web site that have your search words in them.
Each policy which appears in response to your query will be listed by Policy Name, with the manual it ‘lives in’ listed under the Policy Name, followed by a brief description of the contents of that policy, e.g.:
Nasopharyngeal Airway Insertion
NURS: Outlines the steps in performing the insertion of a nasopharyngeal airway and associated nursing care.
Note: The search engine searches the entire policy for your search terms. Also, there will be an LMS module accessible via the Policy Search page soon, explaining how to use the search page effectively.
