Stephen was previously Vice President-Finance for Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls New York. Glens Falls Hospital is the sole, comprehensive, 410 bed acute care community hospital serving a 2,600-square-mile, predominantly rural region of Upstate New York. Prior to serving as VP-Finance Stephen was Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Operations. He joined Glens Falls in 2007, after serving for nine years as Chief Compliance Officer and Audit Director for Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.
Prior to entering healthcare Stephen spent 12 years in the financial services industry with Fleet Financial Group in Providence, RI, and Charter One Financial of Cleveland.
Stephen holds a B.S. in Accounting from The College of Saint Rose and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Stephen is also a Licensed Paramedic and has practiced for 15 years. He has earned several accounting and audit related certifications.
Stephen is a national speaker on topics of healthcare compliance and auditing and is the author of several articles in healthcare auditing, compliance and pre-hospital emergency medicine.
