Audit, Compliance and Privacy Services has released a new Intranet website to provide a centralized resource for employees, managers, physicians and others. The previous HIPAA and Hospital Compliance Intranet websites will now redirect to the new website.
This Intranet website is one of many initiatives to improve communication and education concerning Audit, Hospital Compliance, Professional Compliance, and Privacy.
The new website includes features such as:
- Contact information for Audit, Compliance and Privacy at UNC Medical Center and UNC Health Care Network entities
- Online forms to request assistance and make inquiries
- Relevant UNC Health Care policies
- Audit, Compliance and Privacy procedures and work plans
- The new, system-wide Code of Conduct (information coming soon about this)
- Handouts on Medicare and HIPAA compliance, and recommended coding, billing and documentation practices
- A weekly Medicare compliance PowerPoint
