Volunteers are needed to help build a Habitat for Humanity home sponsored by UNC Health Care. The home will be owned by Anna-Marie Pellet with Medical Center Environmental Services. Anna-Marie’s home will be located at 301 College Park Rd., less than 1 mile from the UNC Hillsborough Hospital campus. No construction skills are necessary.


Volunteers are needed to help build a Habitat for Humanity home sponsored by UNC Health Care. The home will be owned by Anna-Marie Pellet with Medical Center Environmental Services. Anna-Marie’s home will be located at 301 College Park Rd., less than 1 mile from the UNC Hillsborough Hospital campus. No construction skills are necessary.

UNC Health Care and School of Medicine physicians, staff and students may register to volunteer online now at https://orangehabitat.volunteerhub.com/lp/unchealthcare/. Volunteer slots will be made available to the general public Feb. 1.

Shifts are from 8:15 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. with a limit of 12 people per shift under the supervision of a construction professional. Anyone wishing to volunteer during their regularly scheduled work hours should speak with their manager and refer to their Community Service Leave policy.

Any physicians, staff or students helping build the house are welcome to have a UNC Health Care Commitment to Communities T-shirt. Shirts are available for pickup in the office of Communications, Marketing and Customer Engagement at the Hedrick Building, 211 Friday Center Dr., suite 1069. No appointment is necessary.

This is the fifth Habitat for Humanity Home UNC Health Care has sponsored in the past nine years.
