UNC Health’s Care Redesign Team is seeking a Medical Director for Perioperative Care. This position, in partnership with the Care Redesign Leader, will be responsible for the overall development, growth, spread and implementation of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways across the System. ERAS is a central component of UNC Health’s Care Redesign Efforts, which aims to drive improvement in quality and increase reliability by reducing unwarranted variation in perioperative care.
This position will report to the Executive Medical Director for Care Redesign, Dr. Larry Marks, with a time requirement of four to eight hours per week. It will be compensated via stipend/contract.
