Enrollment deadline Nov. 5; confirm completion of premium credits by using these steps
Based on a report from 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, there are still a number of UNC Medical Center employees who may not have completed all the necessary premium credit activities for the State Health Plan Open Enrollment, which closes at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Employee Benefits has sent direct emails to employees missing credits, but as an additional step, we’re sharing this status list of all employees sorted alphabetically by last name.

State Health Plan Open Enrollment extended to Nov. 5 to aid hurricane victims; all others please complete enrollment by Oct. 31
In light of the devastation caused by Hurricane Matthew, the State Health Plan is extending the Open Enrollment period until Nov. 5, 2016, to give those impacted or displaced an opportunity to make their enrollment elections for 2017. This extension includes NCFlex State Insurance Plans. This extension is intended specifically to assist those impacted by Hurricane Matthew. The Plan asks that all other members complete their enrollment by Oct. 31 to allow phone lines to be available for those who truly need it.

After completing your wellness credits, please remember to change your plan election. If you do not change your plan election, you will remain enrolled in the 70/30 plan for 2017.

UNC Health Care has received reports that someone is calling state employees and requesting they complete their annual enrollment over the phone; the caller then requests personal information such as the employees social security number. THIS CALLER IS NOT FROM THE STATE HEALTH PLAN. If you receive a call like this, please hang up immediately.

Viewing 'Patient-Center Medical Home' video no longer required during Primary Care Provider premium credit activity for State Health Plan enrollment
Because many members have not been able to view the Patient-Center Medical Home video, watching the video is no longer a required part of the Primary Care Provider (PCP) premium credit activity during the 2016 Annual Enrollment in the State Health Plan. Members will not be penalized for not viewing the video.
