The UNC School of Medicine is seeking a UNC faculty member with broad academic experience, readiness for clinical leadership, experience in bringing together different constituencies, and dedication and expertise in education to lead the establishment of UNC Health Sciences at SEAHEC. This person will collaborate with university, community and SEAHEC leaders to expand the medical school campus in Wilmington and establish campuses in the other health professions there as well.

UNC Health has promoted Crystal Wiley Cené, MD, MPH, FAHA, into a new role as the organization’s first System Executive Director for Health Equity. In the role of System Executive Director for Health Equity, Dr. Cené will lead a multidisciplinary and collaborative effort to plan, implement, and evaluate science-based strategies and interventions to help address the structures, policies, and practices that perpetuate health disparities and impede health equity in our state.
