A fracture liaison service, hospitalist-led and co-managed by endocrinology providers, was designed to improve care for patients with acute hip fracture. In a pre-post study published in Hospital Practice, the service was associated with significant improvements in the proportions of patients evaluated and offered treatment for osteoporosis.
