In UNC Health’s continuous efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, a new position, the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer (CDEIO), is now available for qualified candidates to apply.

The CDEIO will be an experienced leader and dynamic individual who can drive transformational change within large organizations. The CDEIO will cultivate work environments that encourage and support diversity, equity and inclusion and improve the delivery of health services to underrepresented, vulnerable populations. This includes shaping and driving the enterprise-wide DEI strategy. The CDEIO will be a relationship builder, who can diplomatically maneuver in a complex organization and gain buy-in from key internal and external stakeholders. The leader is responsible for galvanizing the evolution of UNC Health’s culture at both the organizational and individual level.

UNC Health is committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the community and are working to create welcoming environments for patients, co-workers and everyone else.

If you or someone you know is qualified for and interested in helping UNC Health build an inclusive and equitable culture that encourages and supports the diverse voices of patients, providers, staff, volunteers and trainees as the CDEIO, please apply.
