The UNC Office of Medical Education is seeking 2 physicians to serve as case writers for medical student education cases. The cases will integrate the basic, clinical, and social health sciences for use during the pre-clinical medical student curriculum. Interested applicants should be able to fully apply 0.2 FTE to the task, must be willing to review relevant basic sciences resources, and integrate the material into interactive cases. Instruction on how to write cases will be provided. Applicants will work in a team with Dr. Christina Shenvi and Dr. Neva Howard and with input from other course leaders to create the material. The ideal applicant will have a growth mindset, a love of learning, and be responsive to feedback. Prior experience with case-writing or case-based learning, as well as broad clinical experience are a benefit. The position will be supported at 20% FTE to the UNC cap. The position can begin as soon as possible and extend through at least December 2024.
