FPG’s Barbara Hanna Wasik Distinguished Lecture

Expanding the use of neuropsychological and developmental assessment in supporting individuals with medical complexity 

This presentation will seek to address: 

– The nature of neuropsychological assessment in a medical setting; 

– The application of neuropsychological assessment in assessing functional outcomes in underserved populations, e.g. those with intellectual/developmental disabilities and social communication concerns. 

Eva Mamak, PhD, CPsych, ABPP-CN, is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario.  She completed a PhD in School Psychology at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and a Post-Doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Her clinical work is focused on evidence-based assessment of infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents with rare disease, genetic conditions, and medication-refractory epilepsy.    

Mamak’s research focuses on neurocognitive outcomes in rare disease and neurological conditions, with a focus on multi-disciplinary, multi-center studies, and clinical monitoring of functional outcomes following novel treatment.  She is involved in clinical training at the pre- and post-doctoral level.
