Save the Date for Student Research Day

We are extremely pleased to announce that Dr. Ofer Levy will be presenting this year’s Landes Merrimon Lecture via Zoom. Dr. Levy is a physician-scientist and immunologist pioneering in the field of precision medicine and vaccine technology. He is a physician in the Infectious Disease department at Boston Children’s Hospital and a Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He is also the director of the Precision Vaccines Program, and has played an active role in the U.S. COVID-19 vaccine development, approval, and roll-out. We are very excited to virtually host him this year, and hope to see you there. This keynote lecture will run from 12:00 – 1:00 PM on April 16th.

The schedule is as follows:
12-1PM Landes Merrimon Lecture featuring Dr. Ofer Levy.
2-3 PM Virtual oral presentations featuring research performed by current UNC medical students.
3-5 PM Virtual poster presentations featuring researching performed by current UNC medical students.

We are always looking for more judges for Student Research Day. Please consider signing up, no matter your role in the medical system, to judge so you can see what research has been performed by our amazing medical students in the past year. We have students presenting on a broad range of topics in the categories of Clinical Science, Basic Science, and Public Health Sciences this year. You can find the virtual form for signing up to judge here.  Poster presentations will run from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
