Join the Association of Professional Women in Medical Sciences (APWIMS) for a talk on ‘Achieving Health Equity through Research and Clinical Care’ with Dr. Genevieve S. Neal-Perry, Robert A. Ross Professor and Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The presentation and discussion will focus on racial and ethnic disparities in health and health care access and outcomes at two important phases of life for women – family planning and the menopause transition. New Methods for Oversampling Gender and Sexual Minorities

Robert Agans, PhD researches new methods to produce cost-effective population-based estimates for gender and sexual minorities. In this seminar, Agans will highlight recent findings using a new technique developed at UNC, including some health disparity data between transgender and cisgender people.

TEACCH School Transition to Employment and Postsecondary Education Program Virtual Open House

The T-STEP Virtual Open House is aimed at expanding awareness of this comprehensive transition to adulthood program available across NC for individuals between the ages of 16 to 21 who are on the autism spectrum. Potential students, parents/families, Vocational Rehabilitation counselors, college and high school faculty and staff, and organizations supporting individuals with autism are all encouraged to attend.
