On September 23 and 24, 2021, NC Biotech and FastTraCS are collaborating with health systems across North Carolina to provide a foundation for clinician innovation. This two-day virtual event puts an emphasis on action, connecting attendees with the people, insights, and strategies needed to systematically tackle the innovation process from ideation through execution.

TraCS Team Science is seeking to assist UNC researchers with the formation and development of multidisciplinary research teams focused on tackling challenging problems in clinical or translational medicine through the new ACTeR Program. Support is provided through a combination of competitively reviewed graduated direct funding and logistical support awarded in two phases. Phase 1 applications are due by 5 p.m. ET on September 7, 2021.

Tonia Poteat, PhD, CHER Core Faculty, and colleagues have published research on transgender women's intervention preferences for addressing HIV vulnerability determinants. Results from the study interviews are grouped into themes, with a variety of messages related to support that does not center HIV.
