The symposium, Vital Directions for Health and Healthcare: The North Carolina Experience, will be held November 21-22, 2019 at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center in Durham, NC, and will provide a platform for understanding the status of health and health care at the state level within the context of the NAM Vital Directions initiative. Several UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health Care leaders are on the event agenda.

Please remember to order both Droplet and Contact Precautions when placing an orders for a Respiratory Panel. The Droplet-Contact sign will have a new color this year, Purple, to indicate that when entering these rooms you must wear a surgical mask as well as gown and gloves.

The UNC School of Medicine will host a LCME mock site visit Nov. 3-5. Meetings with the mock survey team will be held in 133 MacNider and adjacent rooms. During the visit, the hallway between the entrance to MacNider Hall and the Dental School will be closed to through traffic.
