Care Everywhere is a piece of Epic@UNC that allows us to review records for patients from other organizations that use Epic. On Wednesday, April 29, ISD will activate a Care Everywhere "auto-query" function to help eliminate the need for providers to manually request these outside records for most patients.

A “Learning Home” is a dashboard within Epic@UNC that provides quick access to educational materials specific to your role. Learning Homes are now available for inpatient/outpatient/ED providers, inpatient/ED/obstetrics nurses, NAs/HUCs/Unit Clerks, pharmacists, ancillaries (therapies, Case Management, Nutrition, etc.), and respiratory therapists.

Two staff members from the UNC Health Sciences Library, Dawne Lucas and Anne Dudley, had the opportunity to meet Kathleen Smith, a former WWII nurse and the last living member of the 65th General Hospital that was activated out of Duke University. The 65th is featured in the Library’s latest exhibit, “Medicine in War, 1861-1945.” Read Anne’s first person account of their conversation.
