New Study Examines Parent Hesitancy Toward COVID-19 Vaccines for Children
The study outlines the main drivers of parent hesitancy as perceived safety and efficacy of the vaccines and lower severity of illness in children. Many vaccine-hesitant parents may be open to vaccination in the future and welcome additional discussion and data, the researchers found.

Patient-Centered Intervention Improved Asthma Outcomes for Black and Latinx Adults
Black and Latinx patients who used an inhaled glucocorticoid as needed along with usual care had improved asthma outcomes, according to results from a PREPARE, PeRson EmPowered Asthma RElief, trial. Michelle Hernandez, MD, Professor of Pediatrics, was the UNC School of Medicine principal investigator and worked with the study lead, Elliot Israel, MD, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, to design the trial.
